- Literature related to forest research collected in the reference library of the International Union of Forest Research Organisations (IUFRO) can be retrieved in the free on-line literature database of IUFRO. In addition, the IUFRO-website is providing a lot of technical papers and series.
- FAO - Forestry: The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations is providing information on forestry problems, country profiles, statistics (e.g. annual data on production, import / export and consumption of forest products (FAOSTAT-Forestry), the Unasylva-journal, etc. in six different languagues.
- Similarly the ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organisation) website is a rich source of information especially on tropical forestry and wood use as well.
- The UNECE/FAO Forestry & Timber Section has served as a trusted source of information, data and analysis about the forest sector in the UNECE region for more than 60 years. Its Forest Products Annual Market Review provides general and statistical information on forest products markets and related policies in the UN Economic Commission for Europe region (Europe, North America and the Commonwealth of Independent States).
- The World Forest Institute (Portland, Oregon) is offering some "Free Publications" on "Special Reports" and "Market Briefs" on a number of important timber producing countries: Argentina, Australia, Chile, Russia, Taiwan, United States, Uruguay
- The latest facts and figures on forestry and forest industries in New Zealand are published on the website of the Forest Owners Asssciation.
- Forestry Innovation Investment (FII) is the Government of British Columbia’s market development agency for forest products.Information on their key markets (United States, China, Japan, South Korea, European Union, Canada, and a number of emerging markets, including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Middle East. Research summaries are available for anyone to download; however, you will have to login with your password to download the full reports. The full reports are only available to B.C. companies, trade associations and research institutions.)
