At the College of Wood Technology in Bad Wildungen students can experience the entire production chain from log to window frame etc..
The first step: Softwood logs from nearby forest are being delivered to the log yard.
A frame saw is converting the log into beams, boards, slabs and saw dust.
Trimmer saw
After drying the timber can be sawn on a modern sliding table saw, planed, shaped/moulded, sanded, glued etc.
CAD-drawings can be created in modern computer labs and then converted into real window frames on a CNC-machine.
The auditorium is being used for bigger conferences (above on the left). After the lectures the students can enjoy the nice green campus with artwork, office buildings, workshops, canteen and hostels (with comfortable bedrooms).
